[ 10 days / 4 days moderately difficult trekking ]

This is a great hike for seeing lots of different kinds of flora and fauna with some fine views of the mountains as a bonus.

Day 1
Paro Dzong

Arrive at Paro, clear immigration and customs. I will meet as you exit the airport and take you to the hotel. hotel. Orientation. Visit the National Museum of Bhutan and Paro Dzong. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2
Paro Valley

Sightseeing in Paro Valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Drive to Punakha. After lunch, sightseeing of the Punakha and Wangdi valleys. Overnight at hotel

Day 4

Trek begins with a 12 km forest walk between Punakha to Limukha.

Day 5
Chungsakha Passes

The 14 km trail between Limukha to Chungsakha passes through rhododendron and oak forests.

Day 6

Chungsakha to Samtengang.

Day 7

The trek ends after we reach Wangdi where we have lunch. Afternoon drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8
Thimphu Valley

Sightseeing of the Thimphu valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9
Chari Monastery

Excursion to Chari Monastery in the morning. In the later afternoon, after visiting the oldest dzong in Bhutan, Simtokha, we drive on to Paro. Farewell dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 10
Paro International Airport

Drive to airport in time to check in for your early morning departure.

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September and October) are the best time for touring and trekking in Bhutan. The months of April and May offer the natural grandeur of rhododendron blooms whereas Bhutan observes its biggest festivals during spring.
